On the 21st of August 2016, the Pearland Branch hosted a seminar for high school students at the Learning Skool House in Pearland. Although school was just around the corner, over 70 students and their parents came out to join in on the discussion.
Aylus was very pleased to have 5 distinguished guest speakers share their experiences with the audience. Bofeng Chen (University of Pennsylvania), Jason Liu (Yale University), Catherine Wu (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Daniel Wu (Duke University), Sharon Yang (Harvard University), and Matthew Zhao (University of Texas at Austin) were the panelists at the seminar. Through a series of questions and answers asked by Kevin and Donna, each of our guests took their turn sharing the knowledge they had accrued with us. From school admissions to campus life and more, our audience got a more clear insight to college life.
Finally, at the end of two hours, the Pearland Branch concluded the seminar. Students and parents alike expressed their gratitude to the panel for coming out, and hoped that everyone had learned something new.
